Previous solar customers of ours came to us at Building Energy with an idea. Their family was looking to upgrade their home power system to give them more power and more flexibility as to when they could use their electricity.
Building Energy did a thorough inspection of the existing equipment and proposed a few different upgrade options. In the end, this family decided to add more solar panels to their existing array and install a state-of-art lithium ferro phosphate battery storage system. With the additional solar generation and storage capacity, the backup propane generator almost never runs, even in the dead of winter.
Having lived with very limited power after the sun went down for many years, the family had this to say: “We have entered a new paradigm, a place where you can do laundry at night . . . might even order an instapot!”
