Examples of our work:
Rutland Dental Facility
Energy features: Uses 50% of the electricity commonly utilized by dental offices by incorporating LED lights, high efficiency A/C, and particularly in the design and installation of high efficiency energy recovery ventilation. Super efficient exterior shell: R20 concrete foundation, R22 walls with thermal break on all framing, R75 attic, and triple low e glazing windows. Other features, high efficiency hot water, heat and A/C duct distribution design, and heating system. Solar tracker design for future installation.
Williston Passive Solar Home
Chosen for special honorable mention by Efficiency VT Best of the Best Awards for Energy Efficiency, this home had the tightest thermal envelope constructed in Vermont as of 2006. Passive solar gains heat the house in winter. Roof overhangs protect overheating in summer. Other energy features: rigid foam thermal break on wall framing and concrete, super efficient pellet, wood, and back up gas heating systems, efficient but attractive lighting design, infiltration rate of 0.04 natural Air Changes per Hour. Whole house heat recovery ventilation system. The goal of this project was to construct a highly efficient new passive solar home with beautiful wood working features. Solar PV and hot water designed into the roof layout for future installation.
